The pressure between 12bar to 16 bar peristaltic hose pumps are hydraulic with single or double-acting in-line that provides continuous flow. They have valves and a flexible wall that is made of internal hoses, but they can also be metal tubes for higher pressures. The end has an inlet on both sides of the tube wall, while the outlet at one end creates a pulsating stream with constant force. A common use of this type of pump is for pumping materials that contain water slurry because it does not create foam like other types can do which may result in an unstable flow pattern from turbulent conditions.
