  • Elevators/Conveyor Belts use these gears to convert rotational motion into a linear force from the motor's input shafts for driving ropes or belts that move the elevator car or conveyors. The smaller versions of this type are called gear head sprockets'. Larger ones with three faces on each side add power by multiplying torque before they turn another axle to rotate other parts such as wheels.
  • Bevel Helical Gears are used in the construction of industrial, automotive and agricultural machinery.
  • Skew Bevel Helical gears are a type that can be made with any number of teeth on either side.


The uses for Engineered Gearbox and Drives also include use as a solid state relay in electrical power transmission systems since it helps to control or regulate voltages by converting direct current (DC) from one circuit into alternating current (AC). This is done using electromagnetic induction where an electromagnet rotates within a coil wrapped around an iron core with wire windings. In effect, this induces electric currents in nearby wires which then repeat the process at regular intervals along their length without significant energy loss.

Skew Bevel Helical Gearboxes:

Skew Bevel Helical Gearboxes are similar to bevel helical gearboxes with one difference. They have a large diameter, high-power input shaft that is parallel to the output shaft.
