A magnetron is a part of an electronic vacuum tube that produces microwaves using the interaction of a stream of electrons with a magnetic field. In this type, microwaves are produced from direct current electricity in all types, and frequencies ranging from 400 kHz to 300 GHz have been applied successfully for industrial applications such as drying paper products, food & beverages, plastic molding, and medical treatment.

Magnetrons are used extensively in microwave heating equipment. They have a cylindrical cavity with an aperture at the top capable of emitting microwaves. Magnetrons are divided into two parts, one being high-voltage (HV) klystron and low voltage (LV) Klystrons which operate on different voltages to produce electricity for the magnetron tube. The main function of magnets is to draw electrons towards them by creating a magnetic field; this allows more power generation during their movement through the tubes hence increasing efficiency levels.

 

 

RF Solid State Amplifiers:

An RF Solid State Amplifier (RF SSI) is a type of radiofrequency electronic power amplifier. It typically has an input and output coil that is wound around the same magnetic core so they both use inductive coupling to transfer energy, with no direct electrical connection between them. This allows it to be used in wireless transmitters and receivers where DC cannot be sent through the transformer or coil without converting it into heat which would damage the device.
