Meanwhile on the low-pressure side oil flows from the motor into the input clutch hub area then follows the same path back towards the pump, via the center diffuser, and out through the turbine runner to the engine.

The first stage provides power to the gearbox and second and third gears while performing additional tasks such as reduction or increase in torque depending on engine speed.
