The Enhanced Oil Recovery segment (EOR), which is rapidly growing in popularity, is expected to account for more than 123.0 MW of capacity by 2027. This application uses steam from concentrated solar power farms to drive oil fields for tertiary extraction. CSP market growth will be encouraged by the adoption of this technology in oil-producing countries. The market's other segment was valued at USD 904.6 million in 2019. The technology segment of the market can be divided into parabolic trough (dish), linear fresnel (power tower), and dish. Parabolic trough technology accounted for the highest revenue share at 84.8% in 2019, due to its high penetration and easy installation.

In 2019, the power tower concentrated solar energy technology segment was valued in USD 388 millions. It is expected to see an increase in installed capacity over the forecast period. This will be primarily due to economically evaluated products and other aids. The market for power tower technology is seeing a lot of adoption, especially in countries with ample land.
