A mechanical pressure pump is an engine that creates suction and pressurized liquid flow by the action of expanding air from one chamber into another. The compressed gas pushes with force on the fluid in each direction to create a vacuum and/or water pressure as needed for plumbing purposes. Mechanical Pressure Pumps are powered either manually or mechanically through rotating gears which produce linear motion turning a flywheel to operate pistons within cylinders.

Plunger Plump
A plunger pump works by pressing fluids into the discharge chamber while displacing other fluids on the intake side; this creates low levels of resistance. Plunger pumps are further classified into single-acting and double-acting. Single-acting plungers use one piston to suck in liquid through a suction tube and expel it where needed for supplying water to homes or industries. Double-acting pumps use two pistons that each work independently; one is used as a pump while another is being pushed down by atmospheric pressure pushing up on the top plate which compresses gas against an area at the bottom side.
Piston pump
Piston pumps are the most common type of pumps and are used in many industries. A piston pump is a type of pressure-driven, displacement device that uses the power from an electric or manual motor to create suction and force. This movement produces hydraulic fluid flow in a circuit that has an opening at one end and passes through a cylinder system with chambers where moving pistons are located. These pumps work by pushing the pressurized liquid in one direction as it enters another compartment. The more excessive pressure causes backflow when valves reverse their function.
Centrifugal pump
Centrifugal pumps use a rotating impeller or turbine wheel inside a casing with an axial-flow channel where liquid flows into it from the input pipe, moves around the pump housing towards the outlet through which it exits under high pressure. It's usually installed underground for sewage treatment facilities since suitable pipes must be laid before installation so sludge doesn't clog these channels.
