The Magnetic digital encoders are the ones that use the magnetic field to detect the position of a target. The sensor head is mounted on a carriage, and as this moves past one or more magnets, it induces a current in a sensing coil which can be converted into an electrical signal. This signal can then be processed to determine the position of the carriage. A digital encoder using a magnetic sensor works by creating a rotating field that is detected by the sensor. The output of the sensor is then used to track rotation and position. This type of digital encoder is less expensive than an optical encoder, but it can be prone to noise interference.
