Bottom-in top-out mode depth filters are used in situations where the air is drawn through a filter by pressure. On this type of configuration, the airflow will be directed to enter at or near the bottom and exit at or near the top which results in particle removal from particles that have settled on surfaces before they can become airborne.
Bottom-in bottom out mode
These types of surface-mounted depth filters usually use pleated metal panels attached to rigid frames with springs inside them. The panel has holes punched into it so that pockets of airflow may pass between adjacent layers when compressed by an external force such as gravity, weight, fluid pressure against its face, and/or vacuum on the opposite side during the draw.
