They have a high viscosity and feature good pourability at low temperatures, but they might be more expensive than Formula Products with equivalent performance properties. Examples of High Carbon Alcohols include methanol, ethanol, isopropanol. This type of chemical agent has been used in the textile industry for over 100 years as it can remove colorants from fabrics without causing damage to fibers such as silk or wool.
Ether Products:
Ether products are organic solvents. It is a clear, colorless liquid with low viscosity that can be volatile and flammable in the presence of heat or flame. Ethers have been used for many years to soften fabrics so they may be more easily dyed. It also offers an advantage because it does not react with metal salts found in natural dyes like indigo blue (the most commonly-used dye). Organic solvents such as ethers should always be handled carefully when used indoors due to their volatility which means they evaporate quickly at room temperature resulting in air pollutants.
Organosilicon Products:
Organosilicon Products are a clear, colorless liquid with low viscosity that can be volatile and flammable in the presence of heat or flame. Organosilicon Products are mainly used in paints, coatings, and plastics.
