80% silicone type resins are the most widely used in all polyester resin applications. 80% Silicone Resin is a copolymer of an unsaturated polybasic acid and one or more vinyl aromatic monomers, with minor amounts (less than 50%) by weight of other copolymeric materials such as acrylic esters, alkyl acrylate cross-polymers, tackifying resins, rubbers, and so on.
