Nitrile rubber is a synthetic elastomer made of butadiene and neoprene. It has wide usage in industry, such as automotive seals, hoses for liquids or gases, electrical insulation jackets on power cables, or copper rods when high resistance to chemical attack is needed. Nitrile rubbers are also used to produce surgical gloves because they provide the wearer with better tactile sensitivity than latex while providing an equivalent degree of protection from viruses and bacteria (STP). Nitrile Rubber is the most commonly used type of ring seal because it provides better sealing performance than other types for applications like the automotive industry where there’s high pressure on pipes. Nitrile rubber provides durable sealing performance. It is a non-toxic, economical, and easy to process type of material that’s used for seals in air compressors, turbines and gas engine parts; it also has excellent ozone resistance and weather ability.

 

 

Fluorocarbon Elastomer:

Fluorocarbon elastomers are synthetic materials that come in the form of liquids or gases. Fluoroelastomer is used to produce sealing rings for valves and seals, as well as gaskets for high-pressure switches. The primary qualities of fluorocarbons include low permeability with gas and oil vapor, good resistance to wear, excellent resilience, stability at extreme temperatures (down to -40°C (-40°F)), and a wide elasticity range. This type of ring seal offers chemical resistance, good thermal stability along high mechanical strength. Fluorocarbon elastomers are mostly used as O rings in the oilfield industry because they offer better corrosion resistance than most other types of materials in harsh environments like seawater or chemicals such as hydrocarbons.

 

 

Silicone:

A silicone ring seal is a proprietary sealing technology that seals without adhesives. The best way to describe how it works is through the analogy of making an airtight glass jar with just one hand: Push your finger across the top edge and make sure all fingers are touching. Now, put both hands on either side of the opening and twist them in opposite directions while keeping them sealed together; this creates a tight vacuum so no water or gas can escape from inside. This process also applies when installing our silicone rings as they require compression between two surfaces for installation with a resistance greater than atmospheric pressure for proper function.
