Circuit breaker type of power transmission chains consists of a triggering mechanism for interrupting the circuit due to excessive current or voltage. The most common types are thermal and magnetic, where in general it is an advantage if these two triggers have different characteristics so that they do not trigger at the same time. This gives more reliable protection from short-circuit currents. They help in automatically breaking the circuit so that the equipment does not get damaged. These chains also have a number of other features such as voltage regulation, overcurrent protection, and harmonic filtering. This helps in improving the performance of the system and also protects it from any damages.



Isolator:

An isolator is a device used to electrically isolate two or more parts of an electrical circuit from each other. An isolator allows current to flow in only one direction and blocks the flow of current in the opposite direction. They are commonly used in switches, relays, and circuit breakers. There are two types of isolators: electromechanical and electrical. Electromechanical isolators use a physical barrier such as a spring-loaded arm to block the current. Electrical isolators use an electronic circuit to block the current.



Insulator:

Insulator type of power transmission chains is used to protect the conductor from physical and electrical contact with other objects. They are also used as a means of insulation between two conductors. The most common insulators used in electrical power transmission are porcelain, glass, and plastic. They are made up of porcelain, polymer, and glass. These insulators have high resistance to electric current and voltage surge. They also have high mechanical strength which makes them suitable for outdoor applications. The other features of these insulators include low cost, easy installation, and corrosion resistance.
