Traditional Palletizer is used to produce wooden or plastic (wood-alternative) skids for supporting goods on a loading dock, warehouse, or other storage areas. The basic function of traditional palletizing equipment is to load material onto a surface that can then be lifted and transported.

The traditional palletizer usually involves manual labor to manually stack the goods onto a flat surface that can be transferred by forklift or other means of transportation. The operator is responsible for loading an object on top of another one in order to create layers upon which subsequent ones are set down. They have been around since the 1950s when they were used primarily at warehouses with limited space constraints where speed was not essential. These machines are simple and cost-effective but require more effort from individuals than robotic types due to their intensive nature; this makes them less attractive investments for many companies looking to modernize their warehouse facility.


The robotic palletizer is an automated machine for handling and storing products on a pallet. Robotic Palletizers use robots to transfer the goods onto the desired position across a conveyor belt or into containers, bins, or other vessels. It uses computer-controlled automation with bar code scanning capabilities for error-free inventory control.

Robotic Palletizers are high-speed palletizing systems that reduce labor costs by requiring fewer personnel to operate the machine. Cartesian mixed

Cartesian mixed palletizing machinery is a combination of two or more different types. Cartesian technology, pioneered by Vecoplan in the 1970s, allows for mixing and matching various robot controls seamlessly while maintaining speed and performance accuracy. One can also move up to four axes at once with this equipment. However, it does require some added investment which may not be ideal for many industries such as construction companies that use only one type of tool over another on their projects.
