Modular Operating Room:

Modular operating rooms are modular constructed, self-contained units that have been designed to facilitate standard surgical procedures in a variety of healthcare settings. They can be set up and dismantled quickly with minimal disruption to hospital workflow or the environment.

The modular design of these systems offers many benefits over their traditional counterparts including cost savings by allowing the new room to be installed while another is dismantled; increased efficiency due to less preparation time before surgery begins; and decreased infection rates as patients do not come into contact with multiple surfaces post-surgery. Modular ORs also offer an improved level of patient care through increased space utilization, functional work areas that allow nurses easy access to equipment during procedures, integrated sinks that reduce water usage (though plumbing costs may increase), wider corridors for wheelchair access, and larger doorways for stretchers.


Integrated Operating Room:

In an integrated operating room, the surgical drapes and lights are built-in to a preassembled modular unit. The entire OR space is considered one large area that can be used for different surgical procedures. Integrated operating rooms are more expensive than their modular counterparts because they require less planning on-site, which makes them easier to set up in any location with standard utilities; however, there may not always be enough floor space available to accommodate such units without reconfiguration or relocation of existing equipment and furnishings.

They also eliminate many steps in setting up surgery areas by minimizing the need for building materials other than frames, drywall panels, counters, and cabinets as well as additional construction costs associated with remodeling existing spaces versus constructing new ones.


Intensive Care Unit:

Intensive care units (ICUs) are areas of a hospital designed to deal with complex medical cases. ICU patients often need intensive monitoring and treatment for several days or weeks; these specialized services include life-sustaining treatments like mechanical ventilation, renal dialysis, cardiac monitors, pain management, and more.
