The extrusion grade nylon MXD's are made by using higher temperature and pressure to melt the material. It is used for applications that require high strength levels, excellent dimensional stability, good mechanical properties at elevated temperatures along improved chemical resistance. The primary application of this type of polyamide is in the automobile industry which includes components like clutch plates. The most important feature of Extrusion Grade Nylon MXD is its high heat resistance. It can maintain working temperature up to 177°C for a long time which makes it an ideal material in electrical insulation applications.
