MRI contrast media is imperative in the diagnosis of diseases. In clinics, this need arises when physicians are faced with a difficult case and even more so for young children who may not be able to articulate their symptoms verbally. MRI scans involve administering a small dose of gadolinium-based contrast material intravenously that can highlight changes on the surface or inside organs without any radiation exposure to patients.
