Quartz movement is an electronic device with a crystal oscillator that provides reliable timekeeping by coordinating system components like the battery and digital circuit systems. Quartz watches are powered by a battery that is regulated by quartz crystals and they’re typically more accurate than a mechanical day. They use an electric current to power the hands of the watch, so it doesn’t have any gears or springs as in a mechanical movement.
