For example: if you want to change your current halogen incandescent lamp’s output by 20%, then at least get a 100 lumen per watt or higher bulb.

Additionally, LEDs do not contain mercury like fluorescent bulbs so they don't have any environmental hazards such as being classified by the EPA as hazardous waste when discarded in landfills. LEDs use about 20% of the energy that other light sources do to produce a similar amount of illumination, which can mean significant cost savings over time for medical facilities as well as lessening the carbon footprint from power production.

 

Halogen Surgical Lamps:

Halogen lamps are medical-grade lights, which emit a bright white light. They can be used in surgical suites for examinations and surgeries. Halogen lighting systems offer adjustable intensity levels to ensure that the users have optimum illumination control during their surgery or examination.

Medical facility lighting systems are used in hospitals for various purposes. LED surgical lamps to provide more uniform light and a whiter spectrum of blue-green light, which can improve visibility during surgery to enhance spatial awareness. These lamps also have the ability to mimic natural daylight cycles, reducing glare that occurs when there is too much artificial light indoors over long periods of time. Halogen surgical lamps produce an ideal color rendering index (CRI) range between 80 and 90 with a white light similar to natural sunlight’s illumination properties. They may be preferred by physicians who use instruments such as endoscopes or laparoscopes with sensitive optics and need bright lights with good contrast under dim conditions.

 

Clinics:

In a clinic, the lighting system is used to provide illumination for viewing patients and diagnosing their illnesses. It also helps in examining lab specimens at the microscopic level using an electron microscope or other forms of diagnostic tests which require light. One can use this type of lamp by placing it on top of a table or stand with an adjustable arm so that it provides even illumination over the surface and works well when placed over the dressing area as well. The best types are those which have good coverage areas but do not cause glare, produce low noise levels during operation, consume less power than tungsten gas lamps, etc.
