It consists of an insulated copper conductor that forms the winding for inductance coils, which are found in many electrical devices such as electric clocks or radios. The size (diameter) of these wires varies depending on their function- large diameter means higher voltage potential; small diameter equals low voltage capability and it also features a lower resistance to heat flow than iron wires do.



Aluminum Magnet Wire:

An aluminum magnet wire is made up of an insulated copper conductor covered by a layer of insulation. Aluminum has many advantages as compared to other materials such as mag steel, which is cheaper and lighter. For this reason, it is used for low-voltage high-current applications in industries like motors, transformers, home appliances, etc. It can also be used under the most corrosive conditions where corrosion resistance and conductivity are important requirements.

The application of magnetic wire in motors is to provide a high-resistance path for the alternating current introduced at one end. With this, it can generate torque and rotation. A motor's electromagnet coils produce a steady magnetic field that runs through an electric conductor (called "armature") wound around them like thread on a spool. Shifting voltage polarity across the coil creates electromagnetic forces that push or pull against each other, causing the armature to spin clockwise or counterclockwise depending on which direction power moves electrons inside the winding and generating rotational force. This electrical process is called induction because changing electricity causes changes in magnetism.




Transformers are devices that convert electric current from one voltage to another higher or lower. Magnetic wires are used in the coil of transformers which is an inductor, and it converts electricity into a magnetic field as well. These coils need copper wire because they conduct electricity better than other materials such as aluminum. Aluminum wire can't be used for metal systems like iron pipes because water will react with the aluminum and corrode it away quickly—the same way rust does on steel cables. Copper also conducts at least twice as much power per unit length due to its thicker nature compared to aluminum.

A microwave oven is an electro-magnetic home appliance that uses microwaves to heat and cooks food. Copper magnet wire, aluminum magnet wire, or other materials such as ferrite are used in a variety of electrical components found in the interior cavity of the device where they are subjected to relatively high levels of electromagnetic radiation (EMR).
