It possesses a good mechanical strength required in medical products & instruments due to its high melting point (>150°C). Pharmaceutical grade PLA is a high purity polymer produced through an environment-friendly process that uses the natural feedstock of lactic acid. It has a low moisture content, which means it can be dried easily.
