In these cases, an idler pulley mounted off-axis and just outside the line connecting one end of the belt/chain to its opposite end will rotate along that same arc and allow smooth transitions when bending around corners while also providing adequate support at the opposite end of the belt/chain.

Cast Iron Idler Pulley, also known as cast iron pulleys, are made of a durable material that has been used for centuries. Cast Iron is mainly composed of silicon (Si), oxygen (O), and aluminum oxide (Al). It can be found in nature by mining or other natural deposits such as the open ocean floor.

The idler pulley is then used to transmit torque from one side of the axle shafts (the power side) to another (the driven side). This helps keep these components in alignment when there is slack created by uneven suspension travel or body roll during cornering maneuvers.
