These motors use gears to convert rotary motion into linear or reciprocating movement through a shaft, making them indispensable for machining industries such as metalworking, woodworking, and plastic molding.

Helical Gearmotors:

Helical motors are the simplest and oldest type of electric motor. They consist of a set of electromagnets, arranged into teeth that look like fins on a cogwheel, which encircle an iron or steel ring called the stator. The other part is located inside this “cog” in order to form a helical shape: rotor (most common) with two coils wrapped around it as well as commutator shaft powered by an external power source for creating rotational movement. These are mainly used in nearly all types of machinery where hydraulic drives would not be possible due to space requirements such as point-of-sale equipment, food processing equipment, and packaging machines. Helical has been manufactured since 1843 when they were first used and patented by John Gamgee in England.


Helical-Bevel Gearmotors:

Helical-bevel gear motors are designed to be used in applications that require a rotational speed of 1800 RPM or less. These types of motors are ideal for items requiring high torque at low speeds such as blenders and cultivators, but can also be found on small lathes and milling machines. The Helical-Bevel motor is typically mounted horizontally with the shaft parallel to the ground. This orientation allows gravity to assist in keeping debris from jamming up the works; this design has an advantage over conventional vertical designs because it does not create suction which might lead to clogs. They’re also quieter than other slow-speed gears due to their absence of vibration caused by rotating parts hitting one another when not in contact.


Planetary Gearmotor:

The Planetary Gearmotor is a gearless design that has three or more identical planetary gears which mesh together to produce continuous rotation. These are typically noiseless and have high torque at low speeds, but they're also very expensive. Worm Gearmotors contain one set of meshing helical gears with the worm driving them from below. They’re often used for their non-contact surface to avoid material sticking as well as sound being transferrable through the shaft into other components nearby; this makes them ideal for delicate equipment such as computers or medical devices where there's an aversion to extraneous noise when operating. The only drawback is that worms operate on friction so it can take anywhere between 30 seconds and 12 hours for the machine to start up.


Worm Gearmotors:

Worm Gearmotors are a type of gear that is used to convert rotational motion into linear motion. They can be found in things like sewing machines, CD players, and video game consoles. The gears on the shaft (the larger one) rotate around an axis which causes the worm-shaped teeth to move along them. This moves parallel slots up and down the other gear's outside surface; any object connected between these two will then have its direction reversed as it drives through the mechanism.
