Industrial Grade Dicaprylyl Ether:

Industrial-grade dicaprylyl ether is used as a solvent in industrial applications. It has an odorless and colorless formulation that can be dissolved into water or other solvents to make it usable for chemical formulations intended for use on the skin, hair, or nails. Its cleansing properties also help remove dirt from surfaces without being too harsh on sensitive skin types. Industrial grade dicaprylyl ether has excellent oil resistance, allowing manufacturers to avoid the use of organic hydrocarbons for processing PS products. This can lead to lower costs because it is less expensive than using petroleum-based substances during manufacturing processes. A lesser-known but still very promising application of Industrial Grade Dicaprylyl Ether is its use as a plasticizer & reinforcing agent in plastics such as polystyrene (PS).
